The Schubert project
2020-2028
In their musical journey, the Alinde Quartet - named after Franz Schubert's song "Alinde" -, is currently undertaking an ambitious project.
In collaboration with Hänssler Classic and Deutschlandfunk, they are recording the complete set of Schubert’s string quartets. The innovative twist lies in each CD, featuring a commissioned composition inspired by Schubert, bridging the gap between the past and the present.
This six-volume series is set to be completed by Schubert's bicentennial year in 2028.
In 2024, the Alinde Quartet will release two Schubert CDs. The first complements the string quartet's complete recording and presents a fresh perspective on Schubert's timeless song cycle "Die Schöne Müllerin", with tenor Daniel Johannsen.
The eagerly awaited third volume of the Schubert’s string quartets project includes the significant "Rosamunde Quartet" and an exciting new composition by Bartolomeo Dandolo Marchesi, the cellist of the Alinde Quartet.
